TIRANA, Aug 24 /ATA/ Minister of Interior Taulant Balla says that following the arrest of perpetrator last night in Levan, the number of those arrested for the criminal offense of setting fire to property goes to 23.
Through a post on social media, Minister Balla emphasizes that the State Police continue the work to document the damage caused to environment, private and public property and the risk to the life of locals.
“Wildfires in the country…With the person arrested last night in Levan, the number of those arrested for the criminal offense of setting fire to property reaches 23. The State Police continue the work to document the damage caused to environment, private and public property, the risk to the life of residents. I will personally keep track of all these criminal cases in the legal proceedings for the punishment of such a barbaric crime, which in the Criminal Code of the Republic of Albania is punishable by up to 15 years in prison,” Balla said.
