Technological developments, Balluku: We shall establish innovation nuclei within ministries within fall

TIRANA, August 24 /ATA/ Deputy Prime Minister, at the same time Minister of Infrastructure and Energy Belinda Balluku announced today that within the ministries there will be established innovation centers.

“The creation of innovation nuclei was a request of Prime Minister Edi Rama, based on the innovative developments in the Republic of Albania, starting from the digitalization of services that are expanding day by day, but also in function of the satellites that have already been set up,” Balluku said during a briefing after the government meeting.

Balluku added that despite the rumors that followed the launch of two satellites “Albania 1” and “Albania 2”, the results are already tangible.

“They are being used for civil emergencies, but also development sectors, such as agriculture, tourism, etc.,” said Balluku.

The deputy prime minister emphasized that the innovation centers that will be established at each ministry have the mission of proposing new ideas for the fastest development of the country.

“Given all these new technological developments, but also the desire to follow all those developments that the technology market has available today, we have a need to have innovation nuclei within the ministries that will propose projects to the minister that coordinate the work of the ministries”, said Balluku.

According to her, in order to have the most efficient nuclei, we will have to go to the Albanian market and even to the Diaspora to absorb skilled people who are passionate about innovation.

Deputy PM Balluku also emphasized that the salary level will be higher than in other sectors. /p.s./
