TIRANA, July 20/ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama reacted today to the situation in the north of Kosovo saying that, “The EU needs to act firmly to secure a swift implementation of the Basic Agreement”.
Rama emphasized that our region cannot become a hostage of a never-ending crisis between Kosova and Serbia.
“We cannot allow nor the Northern Kosova, where the line between organized crime and local politics is blurred, to become a Little Donbass out of an upraise fueled by Russia and either the Dialogue to become an Old Balkan blame game, out of the lack of a real and strong will of the parties involved in it!” said Rama.
According to him, “Discussions are good, but what the region needs is a breakthrough before it is too late.”.
The special representative of the European Union for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue Miroslav Lajcak met today in Brussels the head of the negotiating team of Kosovo in the dialogue with Serbia Besnik Bislim and Petar Petkovic from the Serbian side.
