Investigative practices, 15 POA officials finalize OSCE training

TIRANA, July  14  /ATA/ 15 officials of the Police Oversight Agency finalized on Friday a two-day training organized by the OSCE Presence in Albania, focused on ethics, human rights, corruption and procedural practice at the Agency.

“This training session serves as a clear testament to our commitment in supporting the Agency’s overarching goal of purging law enforcement from corrupt, incriminated, or incapable elements. This, in turn, will serve as a means for the promotion of individuals, who demonstrate sound values and create a positive atmosphere within these institutions,” said the Head of Presence, Ambassador Bruce Berton.

Ardi Veliu, director of the Police Oversight Agency, thanked the OSCE Presence for the support and said he hoped such training would continue. “Following the approval of the new law, the Agency is under reform process, with numerous recruitments in different fields, therefore the need for continuous training is a must,” Veliu said.
