TIRANA, June 23 /ATA/- The Ministry of Tourism and Environment, through the National Tourism Agency, launched on Friday TEA (Tourism Events of Albania), the digital tourism calendar, a well-organized platform of touristic, cultural and artistic programs that serves tourists who choose to visit Albania.
With the participation of Prime Minister Edi Rama, this presentation event was held in the premises of the Pyramid of Tirana, the new hub of Innovation and Technology.
In her remarks, the Minister of Tourism and Environment, Mirela Kumbaro, said that Albania now has a complete tourist menu that, in addition to the natural beauties and hospitality, offers cultural events that should not be missed.
“We have missed a full menu of touristic Albania that, in addition to the sun, the Mediterranean sea, tasty food, the cultural heritage, natural beauties, the most hospitable people of the globe, also offers a lot of entertainment, aesthetic pleasure, artistic talents, festivals and cultural events, which should not be missed,” Minister Kumbaro said.
Prime Minister Rama, for his part, said that this application is the result of a long work and is now accessible for anyone.
“Today we can say that we have a cultural and artistic calendar of the entire touristic Albania which is accessible for anyone through an easy to use, informative and, in my opinion, very tasteful application. We strongly believe that Albania stretches beyond the wonderful waters of the sea, beyond the enchanting peaks of the mountains, beyond the valleys and natural beauties as a whole, and the reasons to visit Albania as a tourist are much more than that”, said the Prime Minister.
“TEA” is the first application designed in Albania, as the first digital calendar for cultural tourism, sports and tradition events, available on Apple Store and Play Store.
The TEA application will reflect the events of various categories such as Art Fest, Cultural Heritage, Music Festivals, Sports, Concerts, Folklore, Local Festivals, Visual Arts, Agritourism and Culinary events and Theater. More than 1,110 different events in every corner of Albania have been included and TEA will bring information about every event, for every preference and age group, in Albanian and English. Each event within the app will have its own dedicated page with detailed information, and users will be notified of their favorite events as their date approaches.
