TIRANA, June 20 /ATA/ The flow of tourists in the first months of the year conveys positive signals for a good tourist season.
The Institute of Statistics (INSTAT) recently published the report on accommodation structures, according to which the number of visitors during the month of April increased by 55.6%, compared to April of the previous year 2022.
The other two indicators pursue the same trend, the number of resident visitors, which increased by 26.5% and the number of non-resident visitors, which increased by 85.6%.
The number of non-resident visitors, who have been accommodated in the Centre Region, has marked the highest increase of 88.7%. In non-coastal areas, this indicator has increased by 88.6%, compared to the same period of the previous year.
Referring to the data, the number of overnight stays increased by 81%, compared to April 2022. The number of overnight stays by residents increased by 62.6% and the number of overnight stays by non-residents increased by 94.9%.
The net utilization rates of rooms and beds, indicators that measure the percentage of utilization of accommodation capacities, rooms and beds available for visitors, according to INSTAT, is 13.5%, against 10.2% that was in April 2022.
