PRISTINA, June 10 /ATA/ – Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has declined to comment on a proposal forwarded by the Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama on creation of an Association of the Serb-majority Municipalities in the country’s north.
Asked by reporters about the plan during an event, marking the anniversary of Prizren Albanian League on Saturday, Kosovo government head refused to make any comment.
“As you see it for yourself, the League is alive and strong. Together with me is also Mikele from Frashineto, Calabria. The village of Frashineto is home to an Albanian-Arbresh community and Mikele is one of them and I invite you to ask him about the Albanian League of Prizren. The League is alive, Kurti said.
PM Edi Rama presented this week a proposal to France and Germany for the establishment of Kosovo’s Association of Serb-Majority Municipalities in a bid to break the deadlock between Pristina and Belgrade on the issue.
