Rama: Situation in the north does not help normalization and mutual recognition between Kosovo and Serbia

TIRANA, May 26 /ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama reacted on Friday regarding the situation created in the north of Kosovo, emphasizing that this situation does not help the process of normalization and mutual recognition between Kosovo and Serbia.

The Prime Minister reacted on social networks after the tensions flared up in the north of Kosovo, where a group of citizens tried to prevent the elected mayors from entering the municipal facilities.

“Does what is happening in Kosovo help the process where all the great friends of Kosovo and the Albanians are engaged, for normalization and mutual recognition between Kosovo and Serbia?! Certainly not as long as our greatest friends themselves are deeply concerned about what is happening,” Rama writes.

The prime minister joined the international community in the appeal to back down from this not only dangerous, but also completely unnecessary path today, when the democratic world has placed the dialogue, normalization, and mutual recognition between Kosovo and Serbia at the center of attention.
