TIRANA, April 26 /ATA/ – Prime Minister Edi Rama, also leader of the governing Socialist Party (SP) stated Wednesday that the northwestern city of Shkodra is currently the only dirty city in whole territory of Albania, with the trash heaps not being removed for many days.
Speaking to reporters after a meeting of the SP chairmanship, PM Rama said that no cooperation has been effective between the central government and the Municipality of Shkodra, “because the local government authorities in Shkodra belong to a political party that has never been able to serve people and the communities.”
“We will do our best in every municipality across the country, just like we have done with Shkoder. No cooperation has been in place with Shkodra municipality, not because we didn’t want or we don’t want to cooperate with local authorities all over these years, but also for another element that the candidates of these forces belong to a degrading political family that has never been capable of delivering for the people and the communities,” he said.
