PM Rama extends best Orthodox Easter wishes

TIRANA, April 16 /ATA/ – Prime Minister Edi Rama extended his best wishes as Orthodox faithful celebrate Easter on Sunday following the midnight Resurrection Mass.

The Premier took to the social media to send his Easter greetings to the Orthodox believers via a picture showing the Marmiroi church, one of the oldest churches in the Balkans, located in the southern region of Vlora.

Easter is an important festival and cultural holiday commemorating the resurrection of Jesus Christ after He was crucified on Good Friday, symbolizing His victory over death and triumph of life.

Hundreds of Orthodox faithful attended the Resurrection Mass at the Saint George Church in Tirana and other Orthodox churches across Albania on Saturday midnight.
