TIRANA, March 9 /ATA/ Albania welcomes the decision of the Council of Justice and Home Affairs of the European Union, which paves the way for visa free travel for Kosovo.”
This is what Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka, said Thursday in a post on social media.
“Let’s hope that after such a long and unjustified delay, the process will be completed as soon as possible and the citizens of Kosovo will be able to move freely in the Schengen area,” she said.
The Interior Ministers of the 27 countries of the European Union approved Thursday the decision to liberalize visas for Kosovo at the meeting of the Council of Home Affairs in Brussels.
The ministers approved this decision “in the first reading”, without discussion, as the permanent representatives of the member countries had agreed on this earlier in the ambassadors’ meeting. /m.m/ /gj.m/r.e/sm/
