TIRANA, Dec 27 /ATA/ About 800 passengers have arrived on Tuesday at the port of the coastal city of Vlora from Italy to spend the New Year with their families.
The head of ferry processing at the port of Vlora, Festim Skëndaj, told the media that “both the police and all institutions have taken measures for the reception of passengers.”
According to him, there are no delays in processing of passengers.
“From the weekend until now, about 3100 passengers have arrived in Vlora and about 500 have traveled to Italy,” said Skëndaj.
Compared with a year ago, Skëndaj stated that the number is higher, about twice as high as the same period of the previous year.
The port authorities have worked with speed for the processing of passengers and vehicles as well as have taken all measures to serve the flow of passengers, especially during the end-of-year holidays.
In the Port of Vlora this year there are more counters to handle the increased influx.
