TIRANA, December 17/ATA/ The National Institute of Cultural Heritage brings into focus of attention the monuments of culture as a reminder of the wonderful values of our cultural heritage and why not as a different alternative to spend the weekend visiting them.
Thus, the Institute highlights the Ad Quintum, a road station along the Via Egnatia.
Ad Quintum is an architectural complex consisting of a Roman villa and well-preserved thermae (Roman Bath) built in the 2nd century and used as a station along the Via Egnatia. Road stations were resting places where travelers or merchants could stop for the night.
Ad Quintum road station is located on the right side of the Elbasan-Durrës national road.
It has a rectangular layout, extending over an area of 130 m2, consisting of several venues. Water was supplied by means of canals from a deposit on the wall and flew out via another system of canals. /p.s./
