PRISTINA, December 15 /ATA/ Prime Minister Albin Kurti submitted the application of Kosovo for membership in the European Union to the Czech Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
In Prague, Kurti held in the beginning a bilateral meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Jan Lipavsky.
Then, Kurti was received by Minister for European Affairs of the Czech Republic Mikulas Bek.
The handover ceremony will be followed by a joint press conference of PM Kurti and Minister Bek.
Kosovo leaders have considered this as a historical moment that paves the way for the beginning of the process of membership and integration of Kosovo in the European Union./p.s./
