TIRANA, Dec 15 /ATA/ Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka, on Thursday congratulated Kosovo on its application for the European Union membership.
Xhaçka emphasized that Albania will support and help Kosovo every step of the way.
Xhaçka underlined that the country of Kosovo is in the EU, just as the future of the Western Balkans is in the EU.
“Congratulations to Kosovo on its application for the European Union membership. Albania will support and help Kosovo in every step of this process.”
The country of Kosovo is in the EU just as the future of the Western Balkans is in the EU,” Xhaçka wrote in a post on social media.
The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, submitted the application of Kosovo to the Czech Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
Yesterday, Kosovo took the step towards the European Union membership with the signing of the application.
The heads of state have considered this as a landmark moment that paves the way for the beginning of Kosovo’s European Union accession.
