TIRANA, Oct 28 /ATA/ Demonstrating for the 16th consecutive day, students gathered outside the Ministry of Education on Durrës Street today, intensifying their anti-government slogans and demands for political change. Chants such as “Without youth, there is no Albania,” “Rama resigns,” and “Revolution” echoed through the rally.
Several university professors have also joined the student demonstrations in solidarity. Professor Lush Susaj confirmed he will remain an active participant in the protests, condemning the political establishment for harming the nation and jeopardizing the younger generation’s future.
Susaj also urged the students not to back down in the face of pressure and blackmail, rejecting calls to return to lecture halls before their demands are met.
“I will mobilize even if there is a protest within the protest. They have massacred this country, torn out its heart, and are stripping away its future,” he stated.
Leaving the Ministry of Education behind, the protesting students marched down toward the Prime Minister’s Office. This follows their earlier refusal in past demonstrations to engage in dialogue with the head of government.
