TIRANA, Dec 13 /ATA/ Works are running at high rates on Vlora airport road to enable its completion ahead of contractual time line.
The Albanian Road Authority informed on Tuesday that all engineering works of art, the excavation works and the filling of the road body and the construction of drainage and irrigation canals have been completed.
With an investment value of 104 million euros, the airport building and runway will be built in the 2-year period of the first phase, amounting to over 103.5 million dollars.
While the second phase, in the first 4 years, entails the development of additional business and tourism infrastructure, reaching the investment value of hundreds of millions of euros.
Vlora airport will also accommodate direct flights from the US.
