“Back in November 2019, Albania was hit by a devastating earthquake. This was the beginning of an unprecedented reconstruction effort also on the side of the EU. Today, we see dozens of schools and kindergartens have been rebuilt, we see historic sites that have been restored and that are being restored at this point and time. With our motto “Building back better” we have schools of European standards and we have historic sites that have been restored in their full splendor for future generations to enjoy. We will continue with our flagship programs: EU for culture and EU for schools to continue building back. At this point and time I would thank the Albanian population for their resilience and strength in building back Albania after the devastating earthquake.
