TIRANA, November 21/ATA/ Minister of Defense Niko Peleshi said today that about 50 families have been evacuated in Shkodra due to flooding from the heavy rain.
“About 240 troops of the Armed Forces and 25 vehicles have been engaged on the ground alongside the civil emergency forces of the municipalities, the police forces to help the population affected by the consequences of the heavy rain that continued throughout the night”, said Peleshi.
Minister Peleshi said that the river level is being closely monitored while there have been found alternative routes for the movement of citizens in the north of the country.
“We will be on the ground all the time to see the progress and the need for intervention”, said Peleshi.
