TIRANA, Nov 10 /ATA/ – By I. Vata/ The Democratic Party MP, Edmond Spaho, during the discussion of the draft budget and the 2023 fiscal package on Thursday, appealed for the salary increase, as according to him, the state is at stake by the campaign to encourage salary equality.
Regarding the budget increase, Spaho said that the budget has increased because there are 500 million euros in additional taxes and 5 billion euros in debt.
“The salary increase is insignificant, why don’t you raise them? Because when the budget increases twice, the salary fund needs to be twofold. You need to increase the wages, because with this wage system in place you are ruining the state. We pretend to work, you pretend to pay, like at the time of dictatorship. And you have promoted equality. “Almost everyone earns the same income, like in the time of Enver Hoxha,” said Spaho.
Speaking about agriculture, Spaho said that subsidies are given throughout the region.
“You scrapped the 6% VAT refund, increased the VAT for agricultural inputs by 10%. Where is the result? 20% less cattle. Imports of vegetables have increased 40%. Is this the agriculture you are talking about?
