TIRANA, Nov  7 /ATA/ The Independent Qualification Commission dismissed the prosecutor of the Durrës Prosecutor’s Office, Ilir Turja.

The IQC jury headed by Brunilda Bekteshi, with rapporteur Pamela Qirko and member Roland Ilian found that prosecutor Turja’s declaration of assets had discrepancies.

Meanwhile no findings were presented regarding the integrity after obtaining information from the Directorate of Security of Classified Information, DSIK in the followup to the updated report, which raised suspicions about elements of corruption in a case.

Steven Kessler was present as an international observer.

Ilir Turja started his career in the justice system in 1995 and has been working for more than two decades as a prosecutor in the Prosecutor’s Office of the Durrës Judicial District. /j.p/sm/
