TIRANA, Sept 17 /ATA/ – By Maela Marini/ Prime Minister Edi Rama stated on Saturday that justice should have thrown light on the issue of Russian funding in politics, adding that when the SP raised it others made a mockery of our concern.
In a communication on social media with the citizens as well as with online journalists to talk about various issues of current affairs, Rama answered the question about Russian financing of political parties in Albania.
“I want to remind you and all of you who are rightly bringing up this topic because it has come back into the spotlight after a publication released by the US that this is not a new topic for us. When we brought this concern up back then , many of you, including those who today have hit the roof because they consider it to be another means to an end as part of their internal struggle, we were treated with ridicule,” said Rama.
The Prime Minister emphasized that “no one from a large mass, be it the media or politics, except for the SP, has undertaken to take stock in this direction”.
