TIRANA, September 15 /ATA/- Prime Minister Edi Rama stated that it is expected that half of Korça – Erseka road will be ready at the beginning of winter.
Rama published on social networks photos from the works on this road site where it is expected that by the beginning of the winter season, half of the road will be traversed on the new track, simultaneously avoiding a part of the journey from the old road.
Korça-Erseka road has a length of 45 kilometers, while with the completion of the new segment, the distance will be cut to 35 kilometers.
The new road will have all the necessary elements related to road safety. Its construction will promote the further tourism development of the southeast of the country by bringing closer two areas with a lot of potential, such as Korça and Erseka.
The project also defines the creation of access to the villages along the road.
With its completion, the travel distance between Korça and Erseka will be cut to 20 minutes, while the permitted speed is expected to be between 60 and 80 kilometers per hour./p.s./
