TIRANA, Aug 23 /ATA/ The number of businesses increased during the first seven months of this year.
Referring to data published by the Ministry of Finance and Economy, in July 2022 there were 124,550 active businesses in the country, with an increase of 3.4% compared to July 2021, or 4111 more.
Compared to the end of 2021, the number of businesses increased by 7%, or 8130 more businesses.
Minister of Finance and Economy, Delina Ibrahimaj, announced a day ago, during an analysis regarding the economic situation in the country, that indirect indicators show that the country’s economic environment is characterized by an environment which is conducive to doing business.
“The activity of businesses shows that there has been a positive development. During the year 2022, about 11,376 businesses were opened and 2,629 folded, while figures are more positive than those of last year when 10,128 businesses were opened and 2,777 were closed,” she declared.
