TIRANA, Aug 8 /ATA/- By I.Vata/ The member of the National Council of the DP, Dorjan Teliti, reacted on Monday regarding the increase in the basket prices.
Making a reference to the statistics published by INSTAT, Teliti said that prices are mind-boggling at record levels, cost of living has risen, poverty is spreading more and more, the costs of doing business are increasing day to day.
“Today, the government’s Instat formalizes the increased prices of basic basket goods and transport costs: oil +30.6%, bread +20%, milk, cheese and eggs +18.2%, vegetables +9.5%, meat +9.1 %, transport +19.7%. While everyone is praying and waiting for a response and concrete measures to buffer the crisis that has gripped the economy, the government falls silent, does not set out an anti-crisis package and continues to abandon the economy, leaving hundreds of thousands of Albanians and tens of thousands of businesses on the verge of bankruptcy,” Teliti said. /j.p/sm/
