TIRANA, Aug 8 /ATA/ In June of this year, banks increased lending to business in the trade sector and the manufacturing industry.
Referring to the data published by the Bank of Albania, the banking sector disbursed loans to the trade sector in the amount of 6.49 billion lek for the period June 2022 and for the processing industry 2.13 billion lek.
Compared to the corresponding period one month before, for the trade sector, this value was 3.86 billion ALL and increased by 40% in June 2022, while for the processing industry, this value was 1.36 billion ALL, with an increase of 36%.
According to statistics, at the business level, the loan disbursed for trade financing has the highest share of 44%, followed by fresh loans to the construction sector with 16% and the processing industry with 14%. These three sectors make up 74% of the money financed by the banks at the level of fresh loans for the private sector.
