Completed Vlora bypass opens for road traffic

TIRANA, July 7 /ATA/ – By Maela Marini/ Vlora Bypass, a key segment for coastal tourism that also offers a breathtaking panorama of the Vlora bay opened this afternoon for vehicle traffic following its completion.

Prime Minister Edi Rama and Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku, inspected on Thursday this important infrastructural work, which the Prime Minister described as “another proof that speaks for itself of the steadfast will to build Albania we love.”

“The American friends who passed by this morning couldn’t believe that this public work was in Albania. I told them that for sure Albania is here too, it’s not just down there. They can’t even imagine that beyond the engineering complexity, other impediments to building the work were so many terrible stories of properties with pseudo-owners,” said Rama.

Meanwhile, Minister Balluku said that bridges 2 and 3 have already completed and the entire axis is open for vehicle traffic.
