TIRANA, June 24 /ATA/ The chairman of the SP parliamentary group, Taulant Balla, received on Friday in a meeting a representative from the Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (IDEA International) headed by the director of the Program for Europe, Sam van der Staak.
Balla expressed his gratitude for the support that IDEA is offering to Albania in improvement of electoral legislation.
He stressed that “the establishment of the Special Election Commission at the Albanian Parliament will require the necessary expertise to implement a comprehensive reform and in line with the best international standards.”
According to Balla, the focus of the meeting was also the assistance of parliamentary groups with the necessary expertise and increasing the efficiency of public and legislative activity of lawmakers.
