DP: Regret for negative answer received in Brussels today

TIRANA, June 23 /ATA/ The Democratic Party expressed regret over the fact that the EP did not reach an agreement on setting a date for holding the first intergovernmental meeting with Albania and North Macedonia at the European Council summit.

The member of the DP leadership, Aldo Bumçi, at a media briefing, said that the negotiations will not open for Albania and that the Albanians will keep waiting.

“Rama, as always, points the finger of blame at others. Once Europe is to blame, then Macedonia and now Bulgaria. The finger of blame is never pointed at itself. Albanians know and do not expect integration of the government, instead they choose to leave the country. “This is not a free choice, it is a cry of impossibility,” he said.

According to Bumçi, there is only one way out of this, departure as soon as possible of those who have their hands in the pockets of the people,” he said.

Bumçi invited the citizens to join the DP and civil society in the protest announced on July 7.
