Kim: Government is committed to fight corruption; we want Albania to be a partner

TIRANA, June 13 /ATA/ At the National Anti-Corruption Conference in Tirana today, the Ambassador of the United States of America in Tirana Yuri Kim, said that the government of Albania is very committed against corruption.

She added that the USA has experience in its history what it means when you do not fight corruption, what it means when you do not defend democracy.

The Ambassador stressed that, “All of us, you, as citizens of Albania, and I as a representative of the United States, must work together in this historic moment to say enough to corruption, to say that we must defend democracy, to say that Albania and the US can be stronger, that Albania can be stronger. Last year we celebrated 30 years of free Albania, of a people who got rid of communism, dictatorship, which are forms of corruption.”

“We want Albania to be more and more a partner and not a problem, you have to lead the war”, concluded the ambassador./p.s./
