PRISTINA, June 11/ATA/ Prime Minister of Kosovo Albin Kurti said that the crimes that Serbia committed in Kosovo should never be forgotten and he demanded justice and the necessity of receiving an apology.
Speaking at the Balkan Leadership Conference “Peace, Security and Development in the Western Balkans”, organized by the Universal Peace Federation, Kurti said that the acceptance of crime must be done in order to achieve reconciliation.
“Everything would have gone differently if the political and military-police chief of Belgrade had not imposed an aggressive and genocidal policy towards the Albanians. As a result, Serbia continued to commit crimes that harmed both peoples and caused the tragedy and humanitarian catastrophe that we must never forget, but seek justice and a pardon and confession of the crime, in order to achieve reconciliation “, said Kurti.
The prime minister of Kosovo said that the dreams of lasting peace are seen where there are experienced unforgettable anxieties of war.
“The best dreams for a just, lasting and inviolable peace are seen where the unforgettable anxieties of war are experienced. Our people is eager for security and fair and inclusive development, but the time we are living in and the geo-political, geo-economic and geo-strategic context around us and towards us are not so good and promising for a true, just and stable peace. The fragile current peace and the lasting peace of perspective are endangered even today by the tendencies of frozen conflict, the tendencies of comprehensive blocking of the processes of normalization, development, democratization, rapprochement, cooperation and integration both within each country and in Euro-Atlantic and global dimensions and all this for a revanchist and retrograde enterprise “, said Kurti.
The conference brought together prominent leaders from Balkan countries, regional institutions and European countries.
This conference is organized by the Universal Peace Federation (UPF), in partnership with the KosovaPress News Agency, the Washington Times Foundation, the International Peace Media Association (IMAP), and the International Association for Youth and Students for Peace (IAYSP) ./ KosovaPress /p.s./
