TIRANA, May 24 /ATA/ The Trophy of UEFA Europa Conference League Final was displayed on Tuesday in “Scanderbeg” square.
The cup was presented by the former captain of the Albanian National Team, Lorik Cana, and will stay on display for several hours in the square for all football fans who want to take a picture.
The mayor of Tirana, Veliaj said that the city is getting in full swing of arrangements for this big celebration citing once again three “fan zones” that will welcome the fans who could not get tickets. He said that the Summer Amphitheater at the Artificial Lake Park and the pedestrian crossing “Murat Toptani” will be converted into fan zones for Rome and Feyenoord fans, while “Scanderbeg” square will host neutral fans, so that they can enjoy the match in a stadium-like atmosphere.
“Thank you to all the citizens of Tirana for the awesome hospitality they have offered to those who have come from afar. Greetings to all those who have come from Rotterdam and Rome, welcome to our Tirana! Veliaj said.
He said that this final is an opportunity to further elevate the good image of Tirana and the country, in the eyes of the whole world.
“The two mayors of Rome and Rotterdam will also come to Tirana, we will even appear at a joint press briefing to show the citizens who come from Rome and Rotterdam that we respect them as friends, we respect them as guests to share in this joy, but on the other hand, we want them to respect Tirana, to put aside altercations, of course the emotions are running high, but in the end we want to preserve the city, to preserve the peace and brotherhood that football cultivates,” he said .
