First 25 km of Vlora bypass completed

TIRANA, May 12 /ATA/ In Vlora bypass, one of the most important works of road infrastructure in the south of the country, the works have completed in the first 25 kilometers of the road.

“About 25 km of Vlora bypass have completed. Work is in full swing in the area of Kanina where surfacing of the road with asphalt throughout the length of the project and installation of the road signage are ongoing, ” according to the Albanian Road Authority.

The road connects the Levan-Vlora highway with the national coastal road Vlora-Saranda. The work is financed by the EBRD, EIB and the EU with a value of about 37 million euros.

The new road, 29 km in length, is considered one of the segments that will deliver the highest tourist impact and significantly ease traffic in the city of Vlora. It starts from the roundabout at the end of the Levan-Vlora highway.

The 29th kilometer is the last kilometer which connects the yacht port road with Dukat.
In every 1.5 kilometers there is a parking lot. The road has 5 bridges and 15 roundabouts or T-shaped intersections.

Once several important infrastructure projects are completed, the whole area will turn into a major tourist destination, with access infrastructure up to the standards. /a.a/sm/
