PM Rama: Social Resistance Package takes final shape

TIRANA, March 12 /ATA/ – Prime Minister Edi Rama announced Saturday that a social resistance package designed to provide relief in the face of the global energy crisis and impact of the Ukrainian conflict over fuel and commodity prices is taking its final shape.

The government head shared a picture from today’s meeting of  a Special Inter-Ministerial Committee established to cope with the current situation with the rising prices triggered by the war in Ukraine.

The current extraordinary situation in the face of rising fuel and commodity prices requires the government’s direct intervention in freezing profit margins and calling for price transparency.

The national board to control speculation on oil prices in the country will become operational starting today.
