Rama: We will propel Shkodra into development

TIRANA, March 4 /ATA/ On Friday, Prime Minister Edi Rama asked the citizens of Shkodra to entrust Majlinda Angoni with the management of the municipality, to open the doors for cooperation and service to the citizens, and not to divide the citizens.

At the wrap-up meeting of the campaign for the March 6 by-elections held on Friday in Shkodra, Rama said that unlike any municipality in the country, Shkodra has not seen any change, attributing this to the lack of will to cooperate by the mayor.

“We came here, not to fight politically, but to say to Shkodra: we are ready to clean up Shkodra, to transform kindergartens, nurseries, schools, as we have transformed them everywhere else. We are ready to do more for Shkodra in every direction. We are ready to cooperate with the municipality of Shkodra,” he said.
Rama stressed that the government will continue to invest in Shkodra and will help the city bounce back.

“We will continue to do the work as a government, we will finish the work with the bypass, we will transform the lake, as we promised, but of course a choice as always will be an impediment for us to do all these works. We have no time to lose fighting political wars,” said the Prime Minister.

“The democrats of Shkodra have to choose between two alternatives that have nothing to do with the future and the future of their sons and daughters, the children of Shkodra. But they represent a war between two individuals, a personal war, for completely close interests. One who wants to return at all costs from the other world and the other one who does not want to go where he deserves. Both of them have introduced two candidates who have nothing to do with the work and needs of the communities of these municipalities,” said Rama.

Rama added that despite the refusal of the municipality to cooperate, the government has invested in development of the city.
