PRISTINA, February 21 /ATA/ The routine meeting between Kosovo’s chief negotiator Besnik Bislimi and his Serbian counterpart Petar Petkovi will be held in Brussels on Tuesday. After three months of stalemate, in Tuesday’s meeting in the framework of Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, the first for this year, it is expected to be discussed topics like the missing persons and a permanent agreement on license plates. However, the agreement is considered difficult to be achieved under the current international momentum and on the eve of the elections in Serbia.
The expert on the dialogue process, Arbër Fetahu from the Group for Legal and Political Studies, told KosovaPress that returning of the chief negotiators to the negotiating table is a positive aspect for advancing the dialogue.
To confirm the agenda of tomorrow’s talks, KosovaPress asked the Government of Kosovo and the European Union, but they did not respond until the publication of the article.
Regarding Tuesday’s meeting, KosovaPress asked today Head of the PDK Parliamentary Group Abelard Tahiri and Head of the AAK Parliamentary Group Besnik Tahiri, after meeting with Presidency of the Assembly.
Tahiri criticized Kurti government for absence of transparency in relation to dialogue and said that any draft agreement that can be signed must first be forwarded to the Assembly.
Meanwhile, Head of the AAK Parliamentary group Besnik Tahiri said that the Kosovar side should discuss only to reach a final agreement in the dialogue with Serbia.
The last meeting at the level of chief negotiators in the framework of the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue was held on November 16, 2021./KosovaPress/p.s./
