TIRANA, Jan 28 /ATA/ / The police have successfully finalized the anti-narcotics mega operation in Dibra dubbed “KEPI I VOZAJVE.”
As a result, the criminal group involved the production and sale of narcotics was dismantled with 14 citizens detained and another declared wanted.
State Police announced on Friday that as part of the work for the prevention and dismantling of criminal activity in the field of narcotics, identifying the cases of cultivation and attempts to cultivate narcotic plants previously in the territory of the Municipality of Mat, Serious Crime Investigation structures in Dibra’s Police Directorate, and the Police Station of Mat, in coordination with the Department against Narcotics and Trafficking in the State Police, as well as in cooperation with police directorates of Tirana, Durrës and Rapid Intervention Force in Tirana, under the direction of Prosecution Mat , the police mega-operation codenamed “KEPI I VOZAJVE” was successfully performed.
The Sector for Crime Investigation in Dibra’s Police Directorate, in cooperation with the Police Station of Mat, have referred the procedural materials to the Prosecution at the First Instance Court of Mat, for the criminal offenses “Cultivation of narcotic plants,” “Production and sale of narcotics” committed in complicity, “Illegal possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition,” Police sources say.
