TIRANA, Jan 22 /ATA/ The number of active businesses in agricultural sector, including agriculture, forestry and fisheries, increased by over 10% on an annual basis.
Referring to INSTAT data, Fier, Berat, Korça and Elbasan are the regions with the largest increase in the activity of rural businesses.
Fier region accounts for 23.3%, while the four regions combined account for about 58.8% of the total growth of active businesses in agriculture during 2020.
According to statistics published by INSTAT, the number of farmers in 2020 has increased by 4580, where Fier is in the lead with about 1 thousand more businesses.
Businesses operating in the industry sector are declining not only at the national level but also in 9 regions, while in only 3 of them they have increased. /j.p/sm/
