TIRANA, Jan 11 /ATA/ The Democratic Party stated on Tuesday that “Ilir Meta and his people should keep away from the headquarters of the Democratic Party.”
In a statement, the DP pointed out that “the time when the DP was used as a bulwark by Ilir Meta ended on September 9, when the DP distanced itself from Sali Berisha.”
“The intervention of President of the Republic, just like Edi Rama, in an internal debate of the Democratic Party, proves what we have said from the beginning, that the Berisha-Rama-Meta triangle share a big plight which is neither the issue of the Democratic Party nor of the Albanian citizens, ” the statement of the Democratic Party reads.
The Democratic Party adds that “cleaning the scum of transition is a mission for every democrat, for every Albanian citizen and is the only way for Albania to make progress towards a European future.”
