“5 Maji,” 3 apartment buildings to be delivered within this year

TIRANA, Dec 17 /ATA/ The completion of the first multi-residential buildings in Tirana’s “5 Maji” neighborhood is only a few days away.

Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj expressed enthusiasm for the first families that will receive the keys to the new homes and see in the New Year in their apartments built up to the standards.

“I am full of enthusiasm, because we are only a few days away from the delivery of the new apartments. All of this is actually a matter of trust. What distinguishes a family that will move into the new house prior to the New Year from another that stands up for the ideal of the party? Trust! The first one trusts the state, the government, the contractors, the rules we have set in the community, this extraordinary undertaking of solidarity; while someone else believes that if he fights on behalf of the party, politicizes his plight and mixes it with the plight of the party he will be a winner. The only difference in a society is trust, “said Veliaj.

Veliaj appealed to families who have not yet signed the contract with the municipality of Tirana to receive the new apartment from the Reconstruction Program, to follow the example of the first families who signed and are about to move into their new homes.

The mayor stated that the “5 May” neighborhood has become one of the main connecting arteries of two of the largest economic areas.

“If before, this area was rightly considered a ‘pocket’, this was the edge of Tirana, it was the river, Kamza was on the other side, but there was no exit, now it will become the northern gateway to the city. Unlike the New Boulevard, which still has the central square where works are in progress, a bridge will be built here and you will immediately enter Tirana through Kamza. We want to turn “5 Maji” into a promenade, we want to invest in sidewalks, of course the commercial activity will continue as usual, but there will traffic, which transforms area from a dead pocket into an economic artery for Tirana, which connects two commercial hubs in the country, Tirana with Kamza. “These two municipalities account for 50 % of the country’s economy and as such they are connected organically for the first time instead of using improvised bridges, as in Babrru, or in Koder Kamza,” Veliaj said.

He concluded the remarks by saying that the municipality of Tirana has taken on the administration of the apartment buildings until the residents make the arrangements for election of administrators.
