TIRANA, Dec 8 /ATA/ The Llogara Tunnel is considered a strategic work for tourism on the Ionian Riviera.
The mayor of Himara, Jorgo Goro, shared on Wednesday images of the works at this construction site, emphasizing that “this is an excellent investment of Albanian govt. for Himara and all of Albania. ”
“In a few months, this heavy vehicle will meet another vehicle coming from the other side of the tunnel”, said Goro, while sharing photos of the works that are being carried out in Palase.
The 5.9 km long Llogara tunnel will reduce travel time from 55 minutes to 7-10 minutes.
This tunnel extends from the St. Eliza bridge in the area of Dukat to the Palasa bridge.
According to calculations, passing through the 5.9 km long tunnel, at a speed of 50-80 km / h, the time of travel on this road will be reduced to 7-10 minutes.
