TIRANA, Nov 19 /ATA/ / Total expenses for loan loss provisions or as it is known, the fund for loan losses, marked the value of ALL 836 million at the end of the 9-month period 2021, or about EUR 7 million.
The Bank of Albania announces that this indicator, compared to the same period of the previous year, has decreased by 84%.
During 2020, the value of bank provisions was heavily affected by the pandemic crisis and the unfavorable projections.
Bank experts say that the reduction of provisions is closely related to the performance of the non-performing loans ratio, which in September this year decreased to 6.5%, the lowest level recorded since November 2008.
“Improvement of the real economy has positively impacted the solvency of borrowers and the performance of non-performing loans is significantly better than expected,” said the BoA. /j.p/sm/
