TIRANA, November 14 /ATA/- Tirana Municipality has launched a major cleaning action in the area of “Bregu i Lumit”, where the workers on the ground are removing all waste thrown by irresponsible citizens.
Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj joined the action on Sunday along with Kamza Mayor Rakip Suli, Environment Minister Mirela Kumbaro and Deputy Defence Minister Dallëndyshe Bici.
Mayor Veliaj said that keeping every area of the capital clean increases the property value.
He said that the local residents have caused this pollution. He reminded the investment in the river that saved the area from floods and that increased their property value.
He highlighted the significance of keeping the environment clean and appealed to the citizens to reflect and keep their neighborhood clean./p.s./
