TIRANA, Oct 18 /ATA/ The Institute of Statistics is organizing the informative roundtables with the parties of interest in municipalities that have been selected for the pilot census of population and housing.
According to INSTAT, on Monday representatives of INSTAT were in the municipality of Selenica in the region of Vlora, where they discussed the pilot phase for the census of population and housing.
The pilot phase of the census is carried out as part of preparations for the resident population and housing census, which will be conducted in 2022 and has a 10-year timeline.
The pilot phase will last until November 15 and will test the suitability of all census procedures. 50 census zones have been selected in 9 municipalities of the country: Fushë-Arrëz, Dibër, Tirana, Kamëz, Durrës, Korçë, Pustec, Selenicë and Dropull.
The results of the pilot census will be carefully analyzed by INSTAT to take measures for the successful conduct of the general population and housing census in 2022.
The census will serve as a basis for conceptualizing and creation of statistical registers of the resident population, apartment buildings and housing units.
