TIRANA Sept 29 /ATA/ – By I.Vata/ The annual exercise of the 1st Infantry Battalion in Vau i Dejës this year was joined by two other battalions of Infantry Division, that of combat support and the third of the infantry.
For more than a week, the battalions, in addition to skills to move away from their permanent location, tested on the ground the compactness actions at the team, platoon, company and battalion levels.
The wrap-up of “Mnela 21” exercise was attended by Minister of Defense Niko Peleshi, Mayor of Vau i Dejes Mark Babani, Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces Major General Manushaqe Shehu and the Commander of the Infantry, Brigadier- General Arben Kingji.
Minister Peleshi and senior military saw first-hand not only the maneuvers of the soldiers on the battlefield, but also the coordination of operations by the battalion headquarters.
Minister Peleshi underlined the importance of “Mnela 21” as part of the NATO military training calendar and highlighted the year-by-year modernization of divisions with armaments, training our forces to participate in international missions.
