TIRANA, September 19 /ATA/ The government is set to increase the financial support for agricultural development, livestock and rural development.
In the program for agriculture over the next 4 years, the government will provide 70 million Euros for the three main pillars of this sector, with great significance and potential for the country’s economy.
Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Frida Krifca stated in the Assembly on Thursday that, “The government program increases support in agriculture, livestock and rural development, with a total of 70 million Euros in direct financing of direct production measures for the livestock”.
Agriculture remains one of the main sectors that have made a major contribution to the Gross Domestic Product during the current year and that it will continue to be the engine of economic development of the country.
The government is promoting supportive policies to increase employment in the agricultural sector and is also expanding development in agri-tourism to contribute to the improvement of the rural economy./p.s./
