TIRANA, Sept. 16/ATA/ The Group for the Democratic Party, considered the recent decision of the chairman of DP Lulzim Basha to expel the former Prime Minister Sali Berisha from DP parliamentary group, as anti-statutory while demanding his resignation, the representative of the Group for the Democratic Party, Edith Harxhi announced on Thursday.
In a statement to the media the Group made DP leader Basha responsible for the current situation created in the Democratic Party.
Lulzim Basha is responsible for losing the elections of April 25, 2021 through deals and lucrative deals with Edi Rama for personal gain. The “election massacre” was the next alibi to cover these deals. Thus, the Democratic Party must be rebuilt and reformed as a contemporary right-wing party, with a new project based on the ideals of its founding. It must decide on its future,” the statement said.
The statement calls for the resignation of DP chairman Lulzim Basha and the creation of an Interim Steering Committee. //a.i/
