PM Rama: Ruling majority not threatened by opposition, but self-complacency

TIRANA, Sept 2 /ATA/-By I.Vata/ – Prime Minister Edi Rama said in his address to the Socialist Party’s National Assembly on Thursday that his ruling majority is not threatened by the opposition Democratic Party, but by the self-complacency among the party membership.

“The challenge of all challenges as we kick off the third term in office is the challenge with our own selves and among ourselves, because the DP can never defeat SP,” PM Rama stated, underlining the need for a new system of thinking based on the valuable experience accumulated over the years.

“We are not like others and this is not a coincidence. However, we need to identify now the risks along our journey towards the rest and the future, because we have reached the heights and the higher you climb, the more catastrophic the fall could be,” he said.

The government head noted that more hard work, sacrifices, commitment and a high sense of serving others are required during the third consecutive mandate.
