TIRANA, Sept 1 /ATA/ President of the Republic, Ilir Meta, decreed on Wednesday that the first session of the newly elected Parliament of the Republic of Albania will be held on Sept. 10.
The decision comes after the April 25 general elections and given that the mandate of the 9th Legislature of the Assembly expires on September 9, 2021.
The parliament that emerged from the April 25 elections has 140 members.
In the April 25 elections, the Socialist Party secured 74 seats, the DP-AC coalition 59 seats, the SMI 4 seats and the SDP 3 seats./m.m/j.p/sm/
