National support schemes/ Upgrading agricultural product warehousing points

TIRANA, July 14 /ATA/ Through the National Support Schemes launched by the Albanian government, the warehousing points of agricultural products have been upgraded, significantly facilitating the work of farmers.

The collected products are exported en masse to European markets.

The Director of the Agency for Agricultural and Rural Development, Frida Krifca, visited on Wednesday one of the warehousing points of agricultural products in Lushnja, where she announced that the Albanian government, in addition to providing farmers with subsidies and grants, is also supporting warehousing points as market guarantors.

“Lulezim was engaged in agriculture in 2006. Well-informed about the market needs, he invested in setting up an environment for storing and collecting fruits and vegetables employing many locals from the area. The staff is satisfied with the working conditions in the new warehouse where the heat does not pose any problem for them anymore,” she said.

This investment of Lulëzim and his brother, financially supported by ARDA, serves today, in addition to them, 1,000 farmers and their agricultural families of Lushnja, Berat, Fier, Vlora, and even Saranda.

“The warehousing point serves today, in addition to them, 1,000 farmers and their agricultural families of Lushnja, Berat, Fier, Vlora, and even Saranda. “A key link between farmers, production and sales,” she said.
